$MORT

Read this before you buy, hold, or interact with $MORT. $MORT is a meme token. It is not an investment, not a security offered by us, not a fund, and not a promise that you will make money. By acquiring or holding $MORT or interacting with the protocol, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use $MORT.
$MORT is a fixed-supply meme token deployed on-chain. It exists for entertainment and community participation. It has no intrinsic value, confers no ownership of any company, entity, or asset, entitles you to no dividends, and represents no claim on us or anyone else. Any character, lore, streak, or "account" associated with Mort is creative fiction.
Nothing on this site, in the protocol, in our channels, or in any $MORT materials is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell anything. We are not your broker, adviser, or fiduciary. Do your own research and consult your own professionals. Any decision you make is yours alone.
A fixed portion of each on-chain trading fee (the creator share the launchpad pays) is routed automatically by immutable contract into two uses: buying a community-chosen asset ("the Stonks portion") and funding the team. Separately, the launchpad itself buys back and burns $MORT with a fixed share of every trade. The asset chosen each day is decided by a time-weighted holder vote; if nobody votes, the engine holds USDC. There is no administrator who can change these rules, pause them, or withdraw the pooled assets after deployment.
The assets the protocol buys are tokens issued by third parties: stablecoins (USDC, EURC), wrapped bitcoin, and, once they exist on-chain, tokenized stocks. Tokenized stocks are typically debt-like instruments that provide economic exposure only to an underlying share or fund. They are not real equity: they confer no ownership, no voting rights, and no direct claim against the underlying company. Their value depends on, and is only ever as good as, the credit and solvency of the issuer. Which issuers, and under what terms, is disclosed on the admitted list when each asset is added.
A portion of each purchase is made claimable by the day's voters and a smaller portion is retained in an on-chain vault ("Mort's Account"). Mort's Account is not freely redeemable. No holder can redeem, withdraw, or claim any share of its contents, and it publishes no redeemable net asset value. It can be opened only by whoever holds a secret key, and even then only after a public on-chain timelock, after which its contents can move to a single address fixed when the contract was deployed and to no other. No administrator can redirect, sell, or drain it, no one can open it instantly, and holders are promised nothing if it is ever opened.
The asset leg carries the restrictions of the underlying tokens. Tokenized stocks in particular may not be offered, sold, or delivered, directly or indirectly, to U.S. persons, and are subject to further restrictions in the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions. The daily payout and related benefits are operated accordingly and are not available to restricted persons.
By participating you represent and warrant that: you are of legal age; you are not a restricted person and are not acting for one; your use of $MORT is lawful where you are; and you are solely responsible for complying with the laws, sanctions, and reporting and tax obligations that apply to you.
$MORT trades where its launchpad allows. The launchpad is not available to persons in the United States, the United Kingdom, or sanctioned jurisdictions. The assets Mort buys carry their own restrictions: an issuer's tokens may refuse to move to restricted addresses, and Circle may block addresses from receiving USDC at the protocol level, so a daily payout simply will not reach them. Holding $MORT from a restricted jurisdiction does not entitle you to the asset leg. Mort has no opinion on this. He is dead.
Crypto assets are volatile and high-risk. You should be prepared to lose the entire amount you spend. In particular:
